When people talk about Japan’s music scene, they often mention incredible singers and drummers.
But Japan has also produced some amazing female rock guitarists.
If you enjoy great guitar playing, here are three musicians I think you should know.
Lisa-X first caught the world’s attention as a teenager after her incredible cover of Paul Gilbert’s *Scarified* went viral online.
Today she performs with KOIAI, has shared the stage with her guitar hero Paul Gilbert, and is proudly endorsed by Ibanez guitars and Laney amplifiers.
SAKI became one of Japan’s most respected modern rock and metal guitarists through Mary’s Blood.
Her powerful melodies, technical precision and unmistakable stage presence have earned her fans all over the world.
Then there’s Yuki.
She spent years building her reputation with Osaka’s D_Drive, performing throughout Japan’s live house circuit before joining East Of Eden.
Along the way she also earned endorsements from ESP Guitars and Marshall Amplification.
Of course, these are only three names among an incredible generation of Japanese female rock musicians.
Bands like Lovebites, Band-Maid and many others continue to inspire guitar players around the world.
I’m Tess with JRck Music.
I know I missed plenty.

I’d love to discover someone new.
