Most people think of Seoul when they think about Korean music.
But the more I learned about Busan, the more I realized Korea has another city with its own musical personality.
As I explored Busan, I discovered that music is becoming an even bigger part of the city’s future.
Alongside its beautiful beaches, bustling markets and stunning coastline, Busan has been investing in live music, festivals and exciting new performance spaces.
Even the city’s main stadium is being transformed into a modern venue designed to host major concerts and international events.
What I really like is that Busan isn’t trying to become another Seoul.
It has its own pace.
During the day you can enjoy street performers along the waterfront.
As night falls, live music fills cafés, clubs and intimate venues throughout the city.
Maybe that’s why so many musicians love coming here.
Busan has its own rhythm.
